Evidence of Effectiveness

Results from a quasi-experimental evaluation conducted in the 2009-2010 school year (published in 2013) support the effectiveness of the Circle of Education curriculum for Pre-K students. The evaluation included Pre-K students enrolled in a university campus child care center in the U.S. Southwest (52% white, 17% Latino, 11% Asian/Asian American). The evaluation found that Pre-K students who participated in the program performed better on teacher-reported social cooperation, social interaction, social independence, and school readiness compared to students in the comparison group (outcomes reported approximately four to eight months after baseline while controlling for outcome pretest).
