Reliability

Internal consistency estimates ranged from 0.81 to 0.91. Test-retest reliability (over a two-to-four-week period) ranged from 0.79 to 0.96. Inter-rater reliability estimates ranged from 0.54 to 0.86.

Validity

Intervention-sensitive items were selected using Intervention Item Selection Rules (Meier, 1997). Then, expert clinical judgment was used to identify clusters, revise items, and appraise age-appropriateness.
Confirmatory Factor Analysis was used to support scale scores.
BIMAS scores showed consistent, positive correlations with scores on similar constructs from the Conners Comprehensive Behavior Rating Scales (CBRSTM; Conners, 2008).
