Adventures Aboard the S.S. Grin, offered by Centervention, provides a lesson-based approach to SEL. It includes programming intended for grade 3-5 and demonstrated evidence of effectiveness at grade 3. Students engage with the program online with little teacher involvement.

Adventures Aboard the S.S. GRIN is an online SEL curriculum that is student led and designed to assist students in grades 3-5, regardless of their social emotional competence. Built around an engaging narrative, Adventures Aboard the S.S. GRIN includes a series of scenes focusing on Respect, Thinking Ahead, Responsibility, Communication, Check it Out, Friendships, and Cooperation. If played once or twice per week, the program can be completed during a semester or a full year.

Al’s Pals, offered by Wingspan Works, provides a lesson-based approach to SEL. It includes programming for grades Pre-K-3 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness in Pre-K.

BASE Education provides a lesson-based approach to SEL. It includes programming for K-12 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness at grades 6-8. Additionally, BASE Education is facilitated largely online with guidance for bringings topics from lessons into classroom discussion. Better Together Cubed provides lesson-based and organizational strategies SEL approaches. Better Together Cubed offers programming for Kindergarten through grade 12. A CASEL-approved evaluation demonstrated evidence of effectiveness for grades 6-8. Better Together Cubed utilizes an online platform with teacher-facing and parent/caregiver-facing interfaces, each with audience-specific content and resources that relate to the student-facing lessons in the curriculum. Program materials are available in English and Spanish.

Captain McFinn: Explore Kindness provides a lesson-based approach to SEL. It includes programming for grades Pre-K-1 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness at grades K-1.

Caring School Community, offered by Collaborative Classroom, provides a teaching practices approach to SEL. It includes programming for K-8 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness at grades 3-6. Translated materials for Caring School Communities are available in Spanish.

Changemakers: A Social Emotional Learning Curriculum, offered by The Momentous Institute, provides a lesson-based approach to SEL. It includes programming for grades Pre-K-5 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness at grades K-2. Translated materials for Changemakers are available in Spanish.

PurposeFull People, offered by CharacterStrong, provides a lesson-based approach to SEL and offers programming for grades Pre-K through 5. A CASEL-approved evaluation demonstrates evidence of effectiveness in grades 2-5. PurposeFull People integrates social and emotional learning and character education into lessons accessed via an interactive online portal. Program materials are offered in English and Spanish.

CharacterStrong’s PurposeFull People Elementary Curriculum is an evidence-based PreK – 5th grade curriculum that integrates the teaching of social-emotional competencies and character strengths. PurposeFull People focuses on supporting students to acquire and apply 3 foundational social-emotional competencies: Emotion Regulation Skills, Social Skills, and Executive Functioning Skills. In addition, the social-emotional competencies are integrated with 10 foundational character traits: Kindness, Courage, Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Empathy, Cooperation, Creativity, Honesty, and Gratitude. CharacterStrong’s PurposeFull People includes vertically-aligned curricular content with a total of 36 weekly lessons at each grade level. PurposeFull People was built to provide an adaptive and flexible approach to lesson delivery through 3 implementation plan options (flexible, daily, or weekly).

CharacterStrong provides multiple training opportunities to support fidelity of curriculum delivery and low-burden, high-impact practices. Whole-staff training is offered virtually or in-person for initial implementation and for sustaining implementation of the PurposeFull People elementary curriculum. The training lasts 3 hours and focuses on supporting educator motivation, skills, and self-efficacy to deliver the curriculum with fidelity. Also embedded in the curriculum platform are online orientation modules to introduce the purpose and functionality of the curriculum in 30 minutes or less. CharacterStrong also hosts an On Demand PD platform that includes courses on student behavior, mental health literacy, adult SEL, and a comprehensive whole-staff training on research-backed practices that support well-being, belonging, and engagement. Included in purchase of the curriculum, leaders have access to a self-paced Implementation Roadmap that guides them through research-backed implementation strategies including those focused on teaming, data-based decision-making, and utilization of cues and prompts for adult behavior change.

Circle of Education, offered by delibrainy LLC, provides a lesson-based approach to SEL with academic integration for literacy. It includes programming for grades Pre-K-1 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness in Pre-K. Translated materials are available in Spanish.

City Year’s Whole Child Whole School Model provides an organizational approach to SEL. It offers programming for grades K-12 and demonstrates evidence of effectiveness at grades 3-9. This program is facilitated through AmeriCorps members.
